What is Black Tea?
Black tea is made from the leaves of Camellia sinensis plant by the way of fermentation. This process begins as soon as the surface of the fresh leaves is broken and their juices are released.
What does Black Tea taste like?
Black tea has a rich, malty and full-bodied flavour. Its characteristic amber colour develops during the fermentation process.

Where is Black Tea grown?
Assam and Darjeeling teas are cultivated in their respective regions in India. For our other black tea blends, we source tea from India and Africa.
How is Black Tea best prepared?
Use one teaspoon of black tea per cup, adding an extra teaspoon for five or more servings. If the flavour is not quite balanced, adjust the amount of tea rather than the steeping time. Pour over freshly boiled water (100°C), ideally soft water, and allow to infuse for around 2–4 minutes. If steeped for 5–10 minutes, more tannins are released and the caffeine is absorbed more slowly by the body.
